This program is for advanced students and basically combines the principles of the Praxis kickboxing and Praxis submission grappling programs in order to form a complete martial art system that includes striking and ground fighting. This system is used successfully by The Praxis Fight Team in MMA competition and is very applicable in many self defense scenarios.

You will find our program challenging but rewarding. As with any exercise routine, it is best to consult your physician and health insurance provider for consent or recommendations. You can view our thirty second spotlight below as well as the specific classes we offer. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

The youth programs are based around the Praxis System and will include the basic fundamental principles found within the Praxis kickboxing program as well as the Praxis submission grappling program. In addition to developing applicable self defense skills the kid's program will focus heavily on helping the child to develop good moral values, integrity, honesty, discipline and other positive character traits including the development of social skills such as decision making and dealing with and getting along with others.

The Praxis kickboxing class focuses on the striking aspect of the martial arts. In this class students will learn the finer principles of striking with punches, kicks, knees and elbows while utilizing knowledge of distance, timing and footwork while in the standing range. This program will develop highly applicable skill that can be applied in a self defense scenario or sporting environment.

The Praxis submission grappling program deals with the principles of fighting from within close range of the opponent. Students will learn takedowns, positions, transitions, escapes, reversals and how to apply and defend against joint locks, chokes and other submission holds. This curriculum focuses on fighting in a clinch or on the ground. The Praxis submission grappling program will help students develop applicable skills that are useful in real self defense situations as well as in a sporting environment.

The Praxis ultimate fitboxing program is specifically designed to help students get fit and develop good cardiovascular endurance to lead to a more healthy lifestyle. Each session will burn 600 + calories. The curriculum is built around the Praxis kickboxing program with focus on aerobic and anaerobic exercise that will ultimately transform the body into a more physically fit and healthy machine. The fitboxing program is not as concerned with the development of technical skills like the kickboxing curriculum but instead places the importance on physical exertion and exercise while pushing the body to its physical limits. While a modicum of technical skill may be developed in the cardio program it will not be sufficient to be useful on its own in a self defense situation or sporting environment.
